Swensson Barn Restoration
Restoration of a late nineteenth century timber frame barn that is part of an historic faremstead site. The restoration was funded by a Minnesota Historical Society grant and the Federal Highway Administration. Restoration included reconstruction of the granite stone foundation, stabilzation of the timber frame and construction of an accesisble earth ramp to the upper level of the barn. The Swennson Barn restoration received a 2003 Preseravtion Alliance of Minnesota Restoration Award.
